Synopsis: In the process of writing her thesis, Stacy and her fiance, Liam, have multiple life changes. They have just moved into a new apartment in a not so great area when he accepts a position with a local university. Soon, Stacey starts having horrible nightmares, debilitating panic attacks and hallucinations and continues to spiral downward both physically and mentally. Is she breaking down from the recent changes in her life? Does Liam have some ulterior motives to get rid of his fiance? Could there be something much more sinister going on from this seedy apartment's dark history?
My rating: 4 Stars
My opinion: I love me some debut authors. CS Kane has nailed it in this tightly written, engrossing novella. This novella started off strong and wrap up to a fine creepy, creepy point. Readers were left guessing what was actually going on and who was behind it. This is most definitely an author that I would check out again. If this is the work under a novella...what would a full length novel treat us to?
