Lynnwood by Thomas Brown

Book: Lynwood
Author: Thomas Brown
Release date (if applicable): June 17, 2013

Synopsis: Something is living in the woods of Lynnwood, a idyllic village in England that is the image of a Thomas Kincaid painting, that feasts on the inhabitants of the small haven.
My rating: 3.5 Stars
My opinion: Although the premise of the story and its' characters were pretty interesting, for some reason, I could never quite warm up to this 144 page novella. Normally, I can put my finger on the exact reason I do or do not like a book, but am unable to do it with this one even after allowing myself to process the book. In my normal level of reading, I could finish a 144 page book in less than 2 hours, but I kept putting this one down and it actually took me 3 or 4 days to finish it. I would still recommend it though. It was a pretty creepy story. I kept thinking along the premise of the book "It" by Stephen King with an English twist.

Would I recommend? : Yes, I could have easily have seen this as a full length novel though.
Stand Alone or Part of a Series: Stand alone

  1. Hello Naomi,

A quick message to say thank you for reviewing my book. I'm grateful to you for taking the time to read it and write a few words about it. I was wondering if you might share your review on the book's Waterstones listing? They are big booksellers in the UK and I would love to see a variety of reviews on there, showing different responses, giving potential buyers more to consider.

If not, don't worry, I just thought I would ask! All the best,
