Gone Missing (Kate Burkholder #4) by Linda Castillo

Book: Gone Missing (Kate Burkholder #4)

Author: Linda Castillo

Release date (if applicable): Published

Synopsis: Kate is back and called in to investigate a missing Amish teen who disappeared during her Rumspringa. She isn't the first one though! Who is behind these teen girls disappearing? How do the cases of the missing girls interconnect or do they? Will Kate and John Tomasetti be able to save any of the missing teens?

My rating: 4 Stars

My opinion: Another winner from Linda Castillo. I absolutely love this series. The characters are incredibly inviting as well as the story setting.  I have loved the strong, heroine Kate Burkholder since book one. She is imperfect, but not afraid to run with the big dogs and carry her own weight. Reading some of Castillo's books outside this series, she is a master at writing this type of female. Finally, although, she is considered a romance mystery writer, Castillo has really mastered the balance between mystery and romance in this series with a heavier placement on mystery over romance.

Finally, like her previous releases, the twists in this book, particularly at the ending left me with a nice smile at having an ending I didn't see coming.
